On 8 October 2005, at 08:50 AM Pakistan Standard Time, a catastrophic magnitude 7.6 earthquake struck northern Pakistan, causing massive destruction across the affected regions. The disaster triggered landslides, destroyed roads and infrastructure, and left countless families without shelter, food, and medical assistance. The rugged mountainous terrain and damaged transportation networks made relief operations extremely challenging, requiring urgent and coordinated humanitarian support.

I, Ikhlasuddin, Muhammad was honored to be part of these critical relief missions, traveling with the aircraft, crew, and supervisory team. Through the strong commitment of TCS management, in collaboration with Avicon Aviation Pakistan, urgently required humanitarian supplies reached the affected communities, highlighting the vital role of aviation during a national emergency.
TCS Aviation and Avicon Aviation Pakistan coordinated the transportation of relief supplies donated by the people of Pakistan from PAF Faisal Base, Karachi, to Chaklala Airport, Islamabad, for onward distribution to earthquake-affected areas. On the return journey, the aircraft successfully evacuated 47 injured survivors from Chaklala to PAF Faisal Base, Karachi, enabling them to receive urgent medical treatment.
These humanitarian missions remain a proud and unforgettable chapter in Pakistan’s aviation history, reflecting the compassion of the Pakistani people and the dedication of aviation professionals who worked tirelessly to deliver hope, support, and assistance during one of the nation’s most difficult times. We remain deeply honored to have contributed to this historic relief effort.
